Job Description

We are seeking a mature and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a clothing manufacturing company. This role requires a balance of financial management and operational oversight, with equal emphasis on accounting/administration and production-related reporting. The Officer will report directly to factory management, serving as the bridge between ground operations and leadership decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting and Administration

Maintain accurate financial records: file expenses, handle payment claims and invoices, and track payments for raw materials and office expenses.

Manage petty cash and accounts: ensure proper reconciliation and accountability.

Prepare budgets and forecasts: develop office budgets, financial forecasts, and monthly/annual reports.

Ensure statutory compliance: prepare and submit tax declarations, NEC compliance, and annual financial reporting.

Support procurement: assist with sourcing goods and services in line with company policies.

Operational Oversight and Management Reporting

Monitor production operations: oversee factory personnel, transportation, upkeep, stationery, and consumables.

Generate weekly operational reports: track production costs, efficiency, and output trends, presenting clear dashboards to management.

Analyze performance data: identify operational bottlenecks and propose improvements to enhance productivity.

Act as management’s eyes and ears on the ground: provide timely updates on day-to-day factory activities and challenges.

Coordinate cross-departmental activities: ensure smooth collaboration between finance, HR, and production units.

Support strategic decision-making: deliver actionable insights on operational trends and financial implications to guide management decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Accounting, Administration, or Business.

Strong knowledge of Pastel accounting software and Zimbabwean tax regulations.

Proven experience in operational reporting: ability to produce weekly dashboards and trend analyses.
